His path into technology sales started long before either title existed, on the sales floors of wireless carriers where he learned how business owners actually make decisions about phones, plans, and networks.

How Devin McMenamy Got Into Technology Sales

McMenamy grew up in Florham Park, New Jersey, and graduated from Hanover Park High School in 2004. He went on to earn an associate’s degree in liberal arts from County College of Morris in 2009, then a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Rutgers Business School in 2011.

His early career ran through PCS Wireless and Verizon Wireless, two companies that put him in direct contact with the mechanics of mobile carrier business, before he moved into enterprise technology at NICE Systems. Each stop added a different piece to how he reads a client’s needs: carrier sales taught him pricing and plan structures, NICE Systems exposed him to the enterprise software side of the business.

What Led Him to Team Logic IT

That combination of carrier-level and enterprise-level experience is part of what led him to Team Logic IT, where he now works as an Account Executive. Team Logic IT sits in the managed IT services space, a market where small and midsize businesses often need outside help just to keep systems running and secure.

For McMenamy, the shift from pure wireless sales to managed IT was less of a career pivot and more of an expansion. The questions business owners ask about phone plans, like whether they are overpaying or under-protected, are close cousins to the questions they ask about their networks and devices.

Why He Started Demand Wireless LLC

Alongside his role at Team Logic IT, McMenamy owns and runs Demand Wireless LLC, a consultancy built specifically around SMB connectivity. The business covers mobile device strategy, carrier plan optimization, device procurement, network setup, troubleshooting and support, and contract negotiation.

It is a narrow focus by design. Many small business owners do not have the time or staff to compare carrier contracts line by line, or to figure out whether a device fleet is being managed efficiently. McMenamy built Demand Wireless LLC to sit in that gap, handling the connectivity side of a business the way a managed IT provider handles networks and software.

What Sets His Approach Apart in a Crowded Market

Wireless and connectivity consulting is a market with no shortage of vendors pitching savings. What McMenamy argues separates a useful consultant from a reseller is contract literacy: knowing what a carrier contract actually allows for renegotiation, and when a device procurement decision will cost a business more down the line than it saves today.

That kind of knowledge does not come from a single job. It comes from having sat on multiple sides of the table, selling carrier plans directly, then selling enterprise technology, then advising business owners on how to buy both. McMenamy treats contract negotiation less as a one-time event and more as something to revisit as a business grows or its device needs change.

How New Jersey’s SMB Market Shapes His Work

New Jersey’s density of small and midsize businesses, many clustered close to larger metro markets, means McMenamy’s clients often compete with companies that have far larger IT budgets. Carrier optimization and device procurement are areas where a smaller business can close some of that gap without a major capital investment.

His work with Demand Wireless LLC and his role at Team Logic IT both point to the same conclusion: SMBs do not need enterprise-scale budgets to run enterprise-grade connectivity. They need someone who understands both the carrier side and the IT side well enough to make the two work together.
