Brian Casella didn’t plan to become one of the most sought-after lighting designers in the Northeast. But what started as hands-on work at small local events eventually turned into a thriving business with a reputation for excellence.

Based in Brookfield, Connecticut, Casella is now the founder and CEO of Fox Haus Event Production. His company is known for transforming event spaces into immersive environments with architectural lighting, scenic design, and technical precision. Weddings, concerts, corporate events—he’s done them all, and he’s done them with style.

“I was always fascinated by how lighting could change a space. It’s like painting with light,” Casella says. That curiosity, paired with degrees in lighting design and electrical engineering, became the foundation of a career built on both creativity and control.

How Brian Casella Got His Start in Lighting Design

Casella’s early days were humble. He grew up in Brookfield, CT, where he was exposed to the power of local community events. He didn’t start with fancy gear or big-name clients. He started by setting up lights in small venues, learning the ropes the hard way.

“I remember doing gigs where it was just me, a ladder, and a handful of rented fixtures,” he recalls. “But even then, I knew there was something special about using lighting to tell a story.”

He saw a gap in the market. Many companies offered basic setups—but few focused on creating a full experience. That insight sparked the launch of Fox Haus Event Production.

Building Fox Haus: From Solo Operation to Full-Service Studio

Brian Casella founded Fox Haus with a clear mission: to deliver high-end, fully immersive lighting experiences backed by reliable service and top-tier equipment. It wasn’t just about making things look good. It was about making them unforgettable.

“I didn’t want to just provide gear,” he explains. “I wanted to be the person who understood the mood, the architecture, the story behind the event—and then brought it all to life with light.”

Under his leadership, Fox Haus grew steadily. Today, the company handles large-scale productions across the Northeast, known for clean aesthetics, detailed execution, and flawless rigging.

He leads each project from start to finish. That includes concept design, technical layout, rigging logistics, and onsite implementation. It’s rare to find a founder so involved at every level. But Casella thrives on it.

“Every event is different. I love being on the ground, making sure every detail is just right,” he says.

Recognition and Awards in the Lighting Industry

Casella’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed. He’s received multiple industry honors, including:

Excellence in Event Lighting Design
Top Event Production Professional of the Year
Outstanding Achievement in Architectural & Ambient Lighting

These awards aren’t just plaques on the wall. They’re proof of a career built on consistency, innovation, and customer trust.

“Recognition is great, but what matters most is hearing a client say, ‘You nailed it,’” Casella says.

Balancing Innovation with Execution

In an industry driven by trends and tech, Casella stays ahead by blending creativity with discipline. He’s not afraid to experiment with new equipment or ideas—but every decision is grounded in purpose.

“One of the biggest mistakes I see is people using lights just because they can,” he says. “But everything has to serve the story. If it doesn’t, it’s just noise.”

That focus has earned him a loyal client base, including wedding planners, production managers, and corporate event teams who return for his vision and reliability.

Fatherhood, Hiking, and What Fuels His Drive

Outside of work, Casella leads a quiet life in Brookfield with his 4-year-old son. Hiking, kayaking, and weekend trips are how he unwinds and stays grounded.

“Spending time with my son reminds me why I do this. I want to show him what it means to build something,” he shares.

That balance between personal life and business hasn’t always been easy. But Casella believes the discipline he applies to lighting design also applies to fatherhood and life.

“There’s no shortcut. Whether it’s hanging rigging or parenting, it’s about showing up every day and doing the work.”

What Makes Brian Casella a Leader in Event Production

Casella isn’t loud or flashy. He doesn’t chase the spotlight—he creates it. His leadership is hands-on, his vision is clear, and his reputation speaks for itself.

What sets him apart isn’t just technical skill. It’s the way he listens to clients, respects the space, and brings every element of production into harmony.

“You can teach someone to hang a light. But you can’t teach someone to care. That’s what I try to bring to every project,” he says.

Brian Casella’s story is a lesson in starting small, thinking big, and staying true to your craft. From small-town gigs to large-scale productions, he’s built something rare—a company that’s as reliable as it is creative.

And in a world where attention spans are short and competition is fierce, his work continues to leave a lasting impression. Not just with lights—but with leadership.

If you’re in the event space, chances are you’ve already seen his work. You just didn’t know his name.

Now you do.
