Many people don’t believe you can win real money from a no deposit bonus deal. “Not so”, says bonus expert Marta Wokulska. She advises that many people do win real money, but whether they choose to withdraw it often depends on their attitude to something called wagering requirements.

A clause in most bonus offers’ terms and conditions dictates how many times you must deposit real money before you can get your hands on your bonus winnings.

“It’s mostly first-time newbie gamblers who fall foul of wagering conditions and might decide not to pursue withdrawing their winnings”, explains Marta. That’s why it is so important that when you claim a no deposit bonus deal, you thoroughly read the offer’s terms and conditions before claiming the offer.

Wagering Requirements Explained

When you read a bonus offer, it often tells you, within the advertisement, what the wagering requirements are. A ‘x40’ wagering requirement means that you must make 40 real money deposits before you can withdraw any bonus winnings.

If it’s a no deposit bonus offering free cash, like 20 euros you can collect from casinos listed at https://polskiesloty.com/20-euro-bez-depozytu/, the wagering requirement uses the bonus cash amount in the calculation. So, if the bonus money you’re given to play with is €20, and the wagering requirement is x40, you must make real money deposits totalling €800 (€20 x 40).

With free spins, win real money bonuses, it works differently. As you’re given free spins instead of free cash, it’s the amount you win that is used in the calculation. So, let’s say you won €25, and the wagering requirement is x40. You’ll have to deposit a total of €2,000 before being able to withdraw your bonus winning.

Newbies Take Care

Experienced gamblers know all about wagering or playthrough requirements. As Martha Wokulska says, they accept it as part of the game if they’re claiming no deposit bonus win real money deals. They’re in for the long haul anyway, so it doesn’t really matter, and as you play through the wagering requirement, you stand the chance of winning more money (which doesn’t have wagering requirements) anyway.

It’s only newbies who are trying online gambling to see if they like it who might get put off.

No Wagering, No Deposit Bonuses

Martha advises that if you want to avoid them altogether, you have two options. The first is not to claim welcome bonuses that have wagering requirements. You don’t have to. You can simply sign up with a casino, ignore the welcome bonus and just make a real money deposit.

The other option is to search for a no-wagering, no deposit bonus. These do exist, but they are less common than those with wagering requirements.

Sticky and Non-Sticky No Deposit Bonus Offers

Whether it’s a free spins win real money or bonus cash real money bonus you’re thinking of claiming, with the objective of withdrawing your winnings, you should confirm if the bonus in question is ‘sticky’ or ‘non-sticky’.

If it’s non-sticky, providing you meet all the offer’s terms and conditions, you will eventually be able to withdraw the winnings. But if it’s a ‘sticky’ bonus, you won’t be able to withdraw your winnings, but you will be able to use them to play more games.

Choose a No Deposit Bonus that Offers High RTP Low Volatility Games

If you’re a newbie, you probably won’t be aware of the term ‘RTP’. These initials stand for ‘Return to Player’. RTP is expressed as a percentage. It indicates how much money you can win and have returned to you when you play a specific game. Free spins, win real money bonuses offer slots with RTPs anywhere from 94% up to 99%. Obviously, the higher the RTP, the better.

The other thing to look out for is game volatility or variance. This is a guide to how often a given game pays out and the payouts’ sizes. Low volatility indicates a game that pays out regularly, albeit where the amount of winnings is relatively small. High volatility indicates a game where you’ll have to wait longer for winning lines to drop into place, but when they do, the amount of winnings is significantly higher.

When you’re playing with limited resources (cash or free spins), low-volatility games give you a better chance of winning.

Closing Thoughts

You can claim a no deposit bonus, win real money and withdraw it, subject to complying with all of the bonus offer’s terms and conditions. If you’re a regular gambler, wagering requirements won’t be much of an issue as you’ll be continuing to play on anyway, and experienced hands like to use them to try out new games and new casinos.
