The time has come for this year’s eGaming (EGR) Marketing & Innovation Awards, celebrating the most innovative and creative operators in the online gaming industry. And when it comes to the nominees for the 2021 Awards, the competition does not disappoint.
Let us guide you through the different categories of this year’s Awards and who has made the privileged shortlist of nominees for the June virtual ceremony.
The EGR Award Categories
New to 2021, the EGR has introduced the ‘Affiliate’ category, recognising the innovative marketing campaign for online gaming affiliates, such as BETANDEAL Group, Bojoko and Checkd Group.
The next category is for the operators in the gaming industry and consists of 23 sub-categories:
Affiliate Marketing Campaign Best Native App Best Use of Brand Ambassador Bingo Marketing Campaign Brand of the Year Casino Innovation in Responsible Gambling Casino Marketing Campaign CRM Campaign Innovation in Casino Innovation in eSports (new for 2021) Innovation in Horseracing Innovation in Mobile and Tablet Innovation in Poker Innovation in Sports Betting Innovation of the Year Innovative Start-Up Mobile Marketing Campaign Personalised Marketing Campaign Poker Marketing Campaign Social Marketing Campaign Socially Responsible Marketing Campaign Sportsbook Innovation in Responsible Gambling Sportsbook Marketing Campaign
As you can see, the list is lengthy and offers a vast range of awards to be won, and so the nomination list is also full of the top, prestigious companies in the industry, such as Paddy Power Bingo, Betsson Group, and William Hill.
The last category for the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards is the ‘Supplier’ category, which awards nominees for their marketing campaigns, and is another new section that’s been added to the 2021 ceremony.
Bingo Marketing Campaign Award
The most notable category for the 2021 Awards is the Bingo Marketing Campaign — rewarding the marketing initiatives taken by its nominees, and recognising the creativity, originality and quality of their campaigns in relation to playing online Bingo.
The nominees for this category include:
Foxy Bingo Paddy Power Bingo PlayOJO
And their campaigns are certainly weird and wonderful, with Paddy Power Bingo in particular showcasing their online Bingo site through a competition involving drag queens, Bingo balls and a MINI Cooper. Sounds interesting, right?
The campaign was known as ‘Guess or Drag It Out’ and consisted of contestants guessing how many balls could fit inside the car, extravagantly placed by the famous and glamorous drag queens. Not only did it fit the creativity aspect of the brief, but it also saw direct results and emphasised the brand values of Paddy Power Bingo.
